It seems everyone is launching new smartphones recently and HTC is no exception. We've previously touched on the HTC Desire X and HTC has now announced the release of two Windows Phone 8 devices, the HTC 8X and HTC 8S. Look for these phones to drop on AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon.
As we've come to expect with almost any new smartphone, this phone comes with a dual-core 1.5 Ghz processor. It's not quite as thin as some of the other recent phones like the 7.6mm iPhone 5, the 8.6mm Samsung Galaxy S III or the 8.9mm HTC One X at a "chunky" 10.6mm. Calling that device chunky is hard to say with a straight face, but compared to those other new devices....it is.

If you score one of the new HTC Windows Phone 8X or 8S and need to unlock it your best best (and usually free) is to call AT&T or T-Mobile and tell them you'll be travelling (overseas) and request an IMEI unlock code for your phone. It may take 90 days or so after the phones launch before they start giving away free unlock codes.
